While we've been busy running the Young Brothers this season, the Lowell sits patiently waiting for us to get started working on it. Today, the fun begins. Steve's down there this morning grinding and sanding away much of the old gel coat as well as ripping apart the booth on the port side (which we'll likely replace further aft). Anything that doesn't need to be on the boat is coming off today. There's plenty to do, and the next 6 months will be exciting and busy as we rebuild and repower for 2015. We'll be sure to share updates and photos along the way.

Here are a few more pics worth sharing. The boat will look entirely different when we're done. The deckhouse will be extended back approx 5-6 feet. Lots to do.

We are excited to announce the arrival of the next November Rain, a 2004 43’ Lowell, due to sail beginning in 2015.

The boat was built in 2004 and first launched in 2005. It’s currently powered by a Detroit 892, although we’ll be repowering this year. We’re presently looking at the Cummins QSM 11 and the Caterpillar 3406. We’re leaning towards the Cat, but have yet to make a final decision.

The boat was most recently inspected as a multi-passenger vessel and upon the conclusion of the work that we’ll be doing, we anticipate that it will be certified to carry up to 16 passengers.

In addition to the repower, we’ll be laying a new deck, extending the deckhouse and building out additional seating and accommodations for a more comfortable charter boat.

Please visit this page for photos and updates which we’ll be sharing along the way. A few photos are posted below. More to come soon.

Steve and I would like to thank our customers who have fished with us over the last 12 years and have helped us get to this point. We’re excited about the new boat and think you will be as well.
