Today was the first of three blackfish trips that Mike and the boys have us booked for. We pushed our departure time back this morning to allow the wind to ease up. It was still a bumpy ride across to the blackfish grounds. But the fish were waiting for us, and the guys did a great job jigging tog all day long, boxing their limit and releasing other fish to almost 8 lbs. We’ll see them again in 2 weeks.
We had another phenomenal trip with Paul “Nice Guy” Galeno, and I’m sure his dad was looking down from heaven and smiling today. The boys easily packed away their limit of blackfish and released the number of other nice sized fish. It was a little bit of a bit of a bumpy ride on the way home as the wind picked up, but that definitely did not spoil the day for these gents.
