This morning Joey and the boys fished in wind, rain, thunder and lightening. The guys did a bang up job on the bass, catching their limit to 32 pounds and heading back early.

Back at the marina, in front of the fishing records, 3 men hold up 5 striped bass for the camera.Miserable conditions this morning with the wind and rain. But this trio had no problem landing their bass and tossing back a few others.

First-timer Dimitar Kalinkov brought his family and friends out – some traveling as far as from Bulgaria – to get a taste of Montauk's fishing. The group of 11 saw some fantastic action with striped bass, bluefish and false albies. The photos don't do justice to the amount of fish they took home! A great afternoon on the water. Looking forward to making this an annual trip for them!

Gene, Alex and their boys came out with us this morning and we kept them busy all trip long. The gang easily put five striped bass in the box. They wanted to add a few bluefish to the mix and that's just what we did – a few cocktail blues for the smoker. Aside from the continuing winds and a sloppy ocean, we couldn't have asked for a better morning!

September 22, 2018 (Full Day)

We enjoyed the day with some of New York's Bravest and the fishing was insane!  We had thirteen bass on the boat within the first ninety minutes.  Conditions weren't ideal, with strong NW winds, but the action well made up for it.  Couldn't have asked for better striped bass fishing.  Hope to see these guys again in 2019.

This morning Montauk had the pleasure of hosting what has become an annual FDNY striped bass fishing tournament. Kevin Kern and crew returned for their trip with us and we couldn't have asked for better results. The bass fishing was insane, with 35-40lb fish swinging over the rail one after the other. The guys kept their limit and tossed back many others. A great morning of fishing with the Bravest. Already booked with this crew again for next year and looking forward to it!

Had an absolutely awesome trip with my dad, Debbie and my dad's friends this afternoon. Had a blast sea bass fishing with them last year, so wanted to try for striped bass this time around. Within a half hour of fishing, the bite started and we left them chewing, keeping our six and calling it wrap. Four of the five guys are FDNY retirees. Big strong men...who were wiped out after fighting their bass! Biggest fish was 41+ pounds, so nothing to be embarrassed about! :) Always love having my dad out with us. Until next year!

First-timer Mike Milillo fished with us this morning, along with 13 family and friends. The rods were bent from start til' stop with a mix of striped bass and bluefish. Lots of small fish in the mix today, but that didn't discourage anyone and they kept at it filling the box with meat. A great trip and we hope to see them again next year.
