First trip of the season with Pat and the boys and another great time was had. The striped bass were being picky this morning and we quickly decide to switch tactics and go bottom fishing. The sea bass bite, however, was great. Easy limit of close to 30 fish, with multiple keepers being released. Biggest fish was around 5 pounds. We’ll see these guys again in October!  

We had Joe and Asher out today for a day of Montauk fishing. The bass bite was on the slow side, but the sea bass fishing was red-hot. Plenty of filets for the boys.

Kathy and the boys were out for Kenny’s birthday this morning. We kept busy with jumbo sea bass filling the box. Happy Birthday buddy!

We helped Charlie and his crew of 10 celebrate his bachelor party today. The guys kept busy during the first part of the trip catching striped bass — some too small, some too big and some just the right size. Afterwards, we took the boys bottom fishing and they filled the boat with a limit of almost 40 sea bass. Perfect weather and great fishing. Couldn’t ask for more!  

We had our first trip of the season with Paul “Nice Guy” Galeno today. Always a great time with him, Tracey and crew. The striped bass were a little stubborn this morning, but the gang really wanted to focus on bottom fishing, so we switched gears pretty quickly and easily put a limit of sea bass on ice. Once done, we tried for the fluke. A little tough, but we managed a couple of nice fish. Awesome day with these guys. Looking forward to Nice Guy’s fall tog trip! 

This morning we had George and the boys out in some rough conditions. They caught their limit of slot bass and well as a limit of sea bass, and still home in time for lunch. Way to hang in their guys!

Ken and the gang had a slammer trip today. We iced up 6 slots, and tossed back a few that were too big. They also caught a limit of sea bass to round out the day. Great action all day.

Erinn and the girls were tough this afternoon. They stuck it out in some sloppy conditions, and filled the box with nice sea bass. Way to go!
