Had the pleasure of fishing with Gregor and crew again this morning. Left the dock at 6 am and decided to make the long haul hoping it would pay off. About 2 hours later we had lines in and 45 mins after that we had our limit of more than 60 jumbo sea bass. By 10 am, we were on the way back to the dock! An absolutely beautiful morning on the water and we couldn't have asked for better fishing. Happy Halloween!
Limit of sea bass for the crew today!
These two slayed the fish today!
Pool fish today, though there were plenty just a few ounces behind this 6+ lb jumbo!

Spent the morning with Pete Wagenhauser and crew for what was supposed to be a full day bass/bottom trip. Unfortunately, last night's calm conditions didn't last and the wind was already starting to huff before we left the dock. Knowing we wouldn't get the full day in, we decided to spend the morning bottom fishing. Had less than ideal conditions, but the guys still managed to put some sea bass in the box. Nicely done, gents! Had a great time with them and look forward to seeing them next fall again!
Despite crappy conditions, the boys managed to put some sea bass in the box!
Today we had Bill and the gang out for an afternoon of bottom fishing. These guys where tough sticking it out in the pouring rain. We ended up with two dozen nice sea bass. Looking forward to seeing these guys in July.
Bill and gang chose to do some bottom fishing today and it paid off nicely!!
We decided to make the run for bass this afternoon despite the strong SW winds and ebb tide. The ride there was great. The conditions once we arrived were not! We didn't stay for long, but Jim and the gang from the Harbor Fishing Club managed to put four nice bass in the box. We ultimately called the trip a little short as the ocean was pretty evil. Wish we could have stayed. The bass were there! Until next fall, guys!

This morning we sailed with 6-year old James and his dad Colin, first-timers on the NOVEMBER RAIN. Since we were hoping to do some bass and bottom fishing, we decided to stay close, knowing that the striped bass action may not be too hot. We didn't spend much time trolling and after landing a bass, we decided bottom fishing would be more manageable for James. Had great action with the sea bass and after 8 were put in the box, the guys had enough for dinner and called it quits. A great morning and we hope to get them out with us again!
Spent a great day on the water with Paul, Brian, Richie and Rick for the annual "Nice Guy" fall fishing trip. Great action all day with a limit of togs finding their way into the box. Nothing's better! Looking forward to seeing the boys again next July for the annual "Nice Guy" summer fishing trip!
Nothing's better than being on the water...(more)
