The Ebb Tide crew decided to change it up a little, and take a ride to the tuna grounds. We had an action packed morning, keeping our two. Enjoy the fish as well as your day off.

It was a solid afternoon for David and his family. We kept them busy with some quality sea bass, falling a few short of a boat limit. Nice way to beat the heat!

We had a solid afternoon with the Hamilton Gardens group. Loaded up on the porgy grounds, then added some nice sea bass to the mix as well. Plenty of filets to go around today.  

We stuck with the bottom fishing for the Mike Mayo trip today, and while the fish didn’t come easily, the gang of six packed away plenty of meat - sea bass, scup and a random fluke made it into the box. Hope to do it again next season!

The annual fluke fishing trip with Paul “Nice Guy” Galeno was today and we couldn’t have asked for better weather, especially given last night’s forecast. The fluke were less than cooperative, but this gang stuck with it and packed away some meat for dinner. In addition to their fluke, they went home with some sea bass and scup. We’ll see some of them again for their blackfish trip this fall!

Chris and the gang wanted to take a shot with tuna, and it paid off nicely. We iced our two, and had a great time offshore. They’re already talking about doing it again.

The Cruz family came all the way from Texas to fish Montauk. Here’s a picture of Matthew with a beauty. Great way to spend a summer day.

The first of Joe Aviles’ two trips this season was filled with laughs, despite the not so great fishing. The guys wanted to stay inshore and target striped bass and sea bass. The sea bass were very picky and while we put a couple dozen fish away for them, it took much of the day. The striped bass were completely uncooperative, and we didn’t put any in the box today. I suppose you can’t win them all! We’ll see these boys again next month, and hopefully we’ll also see some better fishing!
