Alba and her buddies came out this afternoon for a quick fishing trip with us. We left the dock a little late, but the gang got to work pretty quickly with the striped bass, landing one slob after the other. The crew stuck with it for about an hour before getting their fill and enjoying a relaxing ride back to the dock.
After not being able to get a trip booked with us last year, Bilal and gang made it happen this morning, getting the boys out of bed a little earlier than usual! We kept them busy catching and releasing some slob striped bass before bending the lighter rods with sea bass. The kids had a blast and are likely ready for an afternoon siesta now! Hope we’ll see them again next summer!
First-timer David Reiter and his family fished with us this afternoon. We had wind against tide and it was anything but calm, but the striped bass fishing was insane. We hooked the family of four into a few slobs, and when they got tired, we switched over to do some bottom fishing, sending them home with a few sea bass and scup for the dinner table. It was great meeting this gang and I hope we see them again.
