Day 2 with Mike and the boys didn’t disappoint! We decided to try our luck with some sea bass fishing to start the day. We had our limit of 30 fish in the box within an hour. The black fishing after that proved to be a little more challenging today. Lots of great bottom, but we had to bounce around to find the fish. We ended up a couple of fish shy of our limit. But still it was a great trip. Tons of laughs. We’ll see Mike again right after Thanksgiving.

We had the first of four blackfish trips with the Mike Sturiale group today and the action did not disappoint. These guys fished fast and furiously and easily put away a boat limit of tog. Hoping for a repeat tomorrow!

Day 2 was much nicer for Bobby’s birthday celebration. Today we loaded up, keeping a boat limit of sea bass. As always, we eat like kings with these guys. Happy Birthday buddy!

The wind was howling for Jamie and the boys. We caught bass of all sizes, keeping our 8. Then we battled hard wind and strong tide for some nice blackfish. Back at it with these guys tomorrow.

First tog trip of the season was a great one, spending the day with Pete Wagenhauser and crew. Conditions on the way home were a little nautical, but up until that point it was a great day. Plenty of fish caught, with a limit boxed and we left them chewing. Looking forward to these next few weeks of black fishing!

The striped bass didn’t come easily this afternoon, but Aiden and his buddy Dominic worked hard to get a couple of fish to the boat. We kept one slot and sent the birthday boy home with dinner for the family.

We had the pleasure of fishing with first timer Matt Kaszbuski this morning. He and his buddies are camping out at Hither Hills and spent the early hours bass fishing with us. The bite was pretty decent, and the boys packed away three slots and tossed back twice as many overs. They topped that off with a handful of sea bass. All in the name of their seafood paella for tonight‘s dinner! Thanks, boys!

The bass were chewing this morning for Chris and the boys. Everyone took a turn reeling in a trophy, then we put some sea bass in the box for dinner. These guys have been fishing with us for a while, and have their two trips in the book for next year.
